About the Author

Anne Smith Burton was born in Lexington, Kentucky in the last century and lives mostly in the Commonwealth of Virginia and sometimes in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Last year, Anne and "Team Flohr" walked the country roads in training for the Washington Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. They completed the 40 miles in two days in May with 3,200 other women and men who together raised 7.4 million dollars for the fight against beast cancer. Her first book, Canary Chronicles; The Road to Maura has been gaining a loyal and loving audience. Writing as Kyle Anne Burton, Canary Chronicles; The Dance Continues is her second book, and is out now.

She is currently at work on her photography which you can see at her Burton Galleries website. The important people in her life are intelligent, amusing and interesting.
She enjoys the company of animals who add an incalculable amount of pleasure, love and mystery to her life.

She greatly enjoys sailing but tends to feel seasick rather too much, which she has frequently maintained is a metaphor for her life.

Her other love is her mowing machine.
